Snow has settled over Island Park, and the Lodge is peaceful once again, visited only by moose and a few other winter wanderers. We’re already looking ahead to our 36th season, opening May 22, 2026,  just in time for Idaho’s Opening Day of fishing on May 23. We can’t wait to welcome back our loyal guests and to introduce newcomers to the warm hospitality and exceptional fishing that define a stay with us.

The season begins with a bang: the famous salmonfly hatch arrives early, bringing big fish to the surface with unforgettable rises. Golden stoneflies follow close behind, along with a succession of hatches that keep the fish active straight through early fall. Beyond the Henry’s Fork, our nearby waters in Idaho, Montana, and Yellowstone National Park offer something for everyone, from first-time anglers to seasoned fly-fishing explorers.

As the holidays approach, consider gifting a stay at the Lodge to your spouse, child, or favorite companion. With one call or email, we can arrange everything; guides, activities, local intel, and of course your accommodations and dining.
